Jessica Hofert – Director
Miss Jess taught baton and dance for almost twenty years, she was a competitive twirler and started Indianola Dance Academy in 2009; leading the studio to many accolades, including Best of Warren County, Groove’s Professionalism award, former director of a state level baton competition and is proud of the relationships she has built with the prior youth of IDA. She has two grown kids both of whom danced and assisted with the studio, a precious bonus daughter, an extra mom to her kids friends and a foreign exchange student. She enjoys spending time with her partner and all of their kids at their activities and selling at her store next door.

Cortney Marmon
Miss Cortney is a long-time resident of Indianola and is active in the community with her husband and children. Her dance experience includes twelve years of competitive dance in Des Moines, IA; participating in several dance workshops throughout the Midwest, and teaching at Express Yourself Dance Studio. Her passions in dance are Pointe, Hip-Hop and Lyrical, as well as ensuring students have learned correct technique and stage presence.
Thank you Cortney for joining our team and your dedication to not only our community, but our dancer’s potential.

Cathia Krehbiel
Miss Cathia moved to Indianola in 2023 from Kansas, where she spent over a decade teaching belly dance, including for the dance department at Kansas State University. She also co-founded a dance troupe and ran successful dance workshops both as an instructor and as host to regional and nationally renowned dancers. She has always loved exploring styles of dance, and over the years has studied ballroom, swing, hip-hop and African dance. Her very first dance love, however, was tap – she is thrilled to bring her passion for tap to IDA. In her spare time she enjoys playing cello in the Des Moines Community Orchestra and cheering on her two children at their many music, sports, and dance events.
Thank you for joining our studio Miss Cathia! Your passion for providing a quality dance experience for local kids and giving your limited spare time to do so is heartwarming.
