Indianola Dance Academy: Studio Update, Open House Preview…RSVP

It sure is hard to show everyone the vision that is our new studio space when it is still under construction! You want to make sure your dancer is in a studio that is safe and clean, we want to be certain it is all the above while also appropriate for our class sizes and the needs of a growing baton & dance studio.

Today, I went in and got some pictures of the space, I edited out the construction supplies and covered the floor with a color close to what is going in. So behold…our rough rendering of Indianola Dance Academy’s beautiful space. The color of the walls will be Dove Gray (thanks to a grant from True Value and WCEDC), floors in the studios will be Penguin Black and our accent color is Mosaic (paints from True Value).

Studio B is the front studio, there is a viewing window to the lobby, that will be closed most of the time. We will open the blinds and have a one way tint on the window so the kiddos aren’t distracted from class on occasion. There are amazing bright LED lights on the ceiling, which will be painted black, as well. The pictures are of the drywall, so they are not textured or painted at this time.

Studio A is the larger of the two spaces, the office and kitchenette can be accessed from this studio. The size is comparable to our main studio at the former location. Yes, I’ve already leapt across both studios and if I can do it…so can your dancer! Like Studio B, Studio A will have Dove Gray walls, Penguin Black floors, black on the ceiling and the lights are so bright (and safe for our batons).

This studio has the added extra of a hallway space where they can keep their shoes, line up for class and have access to the lobby bathroom. This space will have a dark grey carpet tile, with Dove Gray walls and black ceilings. We have three mini benches for the alcove space that can be used for patient dancers waiting for class.

We also have an amazing lobby space, there is a fun space between the bathroom and the windows that will house coat hooks for our winter coats, we have the cutest bench and some amazing teal and white chairs that go with the Dove Gray walls, dark grey carpet tiles and black front desk (same desk that we used to use!

It looks daunting, but at this point the next bit of work is painting, framing doors, laying flooring and installing a new viewing window before we move in furniture. Many of these tasks can be completed in a single day and after I get my kiddo moved off to college, we will get finished and schedule a SUPER open house with Fat Kidz Cakes, IDA Merch, door prizes, dance demos and in studio registration.

RSVP below for our SUPER Open House…we have to have enough cake for everyone!
